I think it's a little silly that the unit cannot charge through USB, but perhaps it is too much to ask. Ordered this as a replacement charger (my aunt lost the home charger to her Tom Tom). Anyways, the product works perfectly with my current Tom Tom and although I don't have the other non-American standard plugs to test, I'm sure the adapters work perfectly as well.
When I received the Tom Tom model 910, I found that a home charger was included with the GPS. Now I'm stuck with an extra home charger. I purchased the charger based on Amazon's recommendation that others who purchased a Tom Tom 910 GPS, also purchased the charger. When I returned from my European trip, I tried to return the unit to Amazon for credit but found that Amazon would not accept returns after 30 days.
The connection between electrical cord and TomTom 910 are not good. The electrical connection is broken by the slightest movement of either device causing the Tomtom not be be recharged. Quality of item is poor. Probably poor manufacturing or poor quality control.

But the Tom Tom One is terriffic. As I am 3,000 miles away from home the electric charger is a disappointment. I'm thinking seriously of buying a second one for my wife as soon as I get back home. I love the Tom Tom One and very highly recommend it. However, the extra electrical charger I ordered does not adapt to the Tom tom One. It makes adjustments to my wrong turns and keeps me on track.
